Activation Help

If you had any problems with activating your program, we apologize for the inconvenience and hope that the following information will help you with diagnosing and solving your problem quickly.

Below are different problems that can occur:

  • Message: 'Doc.Title: Can't reach this page' or 'Activation Error: Can't get values from Activate4.asp'.
    • This error occurs if your computer not being able to connect to our activation server. To fix this error, please view the help page on 'Can't get value for Activate4.asp'.
  • Message: 'Activation Error: Activation Count Exceeded'.
    • This error occurs if you are trying to activate a new install of the software with an invoice that has no more license available for it. To fix this, you must go onto one of the computers that you activated with the given invoice and deactivate the install on the old computer. More detailed instructions can be found on our 'Deactivate' page. If you believe this is a mistake or have any problems deactivating and activating on a new machine, please can call us at (361) 884-500 and we can assist you in activating your program.
  • Message: 'Activation Error: 20XX Program not found in Invoice'.
    • This error occurs if you are trying to activate an install of our software with an invoice that did not purchase the software you are trying to activate. Example is if you bought the 1099 Express program and try using the invoice you received from that purchase to activate the W-2 Express program. To fix this problem, please download the program that was purchased and is listed on the paid invoice. If you believe this is a mistake, please can call us at (361) 884-1500 and we can assist you further.
  • Message: 'Activation Error: That Invoice number not found'.
    • This issue is brought about if the invoice number that you typed into the program does not match the invoice number that we have on our activation server. The likely result is that you need to check the invoice number you typed in and make sure it matches exactly to what was sent to you when you purchased the program from our site. Please try activating again and retype the invoice number and if the problem persists, please can call us at (361) 884-1500 and we can assist you further.
