Invalid Floating Point Operation

Updated: 11/19/2021 01:26 PM

This problem occurs when creating PDF's using the 'Print (Create) FORMS to PDF file(s)'. This error seems to be specific to the program when installed on a Windows 10 machine.

Please note that if you are trying to print your records as a single PDF, you can do this from the 'Print (Create) LASER FORMS' option. If you are trying to get individual PDFs, please continue.

Work arounds:

  • Microsoft Print to PDF, Microsoft XPS Document Writer, or Other PDF Printer Software
    1. Using the 'Print (Create) LASER FORMS' option, instead of printing to a normal printer, select the printer 'Microsoft Print to PDF' (or other document printer). You can select which record you want to print by using the 'Page' as the record (page 1 is the first record in your file).
  • Disable all start up applications
    1. Shutdown all other applications running on your computer including non-essential background applications and turn off all startup application (please talk with your IT or an authorized computer administrator before attempting this option).
  • Use Adobe Acrobat to split a PDF with all records in it into individual PDFs.
    1. Open the PDF document in Adobe Acrobat.
    2. Click 'Pages' icon located in black panel on left side (displays thumbnail of your pages).
      • This may be different depending on the version of Adobe Acrobat. It could also be on the right size named 'Organize Pages'.
    3. In left window, click on 'Options' (sprocket) icon, this opens a pull-down menu
    4. Select 'Extract pages...'.
    5. Select checkbox for 'Extract Pages As Separate Files'.
    6. The program will ask where you want to save the new files.
